parteneri pentru un schimb de tineri intitulat "Social-idarity", ce va
avea loc in perioada 10-17 octombrie 2010, in Amadora, Portugalia.

Dear partners and friends,
We are AMM - Associação Máquina do Mundo - and we deal with cooperation
and development issues in the developing countries, mainly in the
Portuguese-speaking nations. We focus on:
- Cooperation for Development namely in the fields of environment,
social integration, education and civil society empowerment;
- Humanitarian and medical aid;
- Migrants and ethnical minorities integration and also
intercultural dialogue;
- Support volunteering.
We want to raise awareness regarding the themes of emigrants/imigrants,
north-south dialogue, investment and employment politics in Europe and
neighbour countries and facilitate dialogue, debate and reflexions on the
common grounds, values and mutual understanding related to European
citizenship and democracy.
AMM is glad to invite you to participate to "Social-idarity", a youth
exchange organized within the Youth in Action programme. We are going to
apply for the second round of the year whose deadline is April 1st.
Title of the project: "Social-idarity"
Venue: 1.1 (open to all 27 EU countries + Turkey + Liechtenstein + Iceland
+ Norway)
Venue: Amadora, Portugal
Period: from 10th to 17th of October 2010
Summary of the project: the main themes behind this youth exchange are
cultural differences and barriers since the activities are going to take
place in Damaia, Amadora a multicultural neighborhood in the outskirt of
Lisbon. More than a simple exchange of cultural identities, we hope that
"Social-idarity" will incentivate a process of openess, confidence and
mainly sharing, including difficulties, discrimination, prejudice and
social exclusion in order to find partners and agents of change.
We want young people to know the reality of neighborhoods that hosts
immigrants and foster interculturality as a way to actively participate in
civil society to combat social exclusion of young people.
