Project name: Making friends when movie making
Project description: The purpose of this project is to let Polish and
foreign students learn the other country's culture, history and current
situation through the active cooperation. Project is supposed to remove
the mutual prejudices, and help the students understand their foreign
counterparts despite any existing differences. In order to obtain these
aims, students will make a video on several topics interesting for both
partners and Polish youth (such as our national habits, favourite sports,
beloved heroes, books and films), prepared in mutual collaboration. Along
with this major activity, they will visit some places of interest, and
spend a weekend in their partners friends' houses. As soon as the video is
completed, they will present it to both Polish and foreign schoolmates,
and post it over Internet.
Number of students involved: Twenty students of Gimnazjum No 15 + twenty
partners' students
Funding: grant from 'Youth In Action'
