We are looking for 2 European youth organizations which are interested to participate as partners in our project (“Warriors for Europe” - Youth in Action Programme, Action 1.3.), which has 3 parts: simulating the elections, an youth exchange in Romania in which will participate 8 young people from each participant organization, where we will facilitate the exchange of good practice and create a web site for the project.
The project we would like to implement is not totally based on politics, but on determining young people to get involved in their community life and participate on taking decisions next to the local authorities.
As for the European partners, they have to make a study about what democratic life involves in their country or, only if they want, to do the same thing our organization will do (simulate partids, the elections, etc).
During the youth exchange that will take place in Romania (in our hometown Targu Frumos and Bucharest) there will be the following activities: we will visit some important institutions, the surroundings areas, knowledge activities regarding the problems that most of the young people have to deal with, customs, traditions and intercultural parties. We will also make a TV show at which will participate the volunteers from the exchange and which will contain also photos and videos from our training. We will make representations on the streets based on forum theatre, sessions in which we will overdraw the barriers about nationality through some thematic games, unprecedented parties, masked ball and many other interesting activities that imply active participation from young people. At the end we will make a brochure about participative democracy and our experience in the project.
