Asociatia pentru Protejarea si Promovarea Copiilor si Tinerilor (The
Association for Protection and Promotion of Children and Youth) din Nis,

Profile of the volunteers:
In the requirements of the hosting organization, there is no exact profile
of the volunteer. This person can be either male or female. It doesn't
matter which country he/she comes from, nor the religion. He/she should be
minimum 20 years old and have finished high school. The HO is not able to
host persons with disabilities (in wheelchairs) since they have a lot of
stairs in the premises and due to being protected by the city there is no
posibility to instal platforms.
This person should be motivated, enthusiastic, eagar to learn and teach,
share knowledge and be willing to participate actively in present and
future projects and programs that host organization implements. He/she
should be ready to work in a team. Also, what will be taken into
consideration is the interest of the volunteer in doing a specific project
of the host organization, and not just doing the EVS in Serbia in any
organization.
The volunteer will:
- work both with the marginalized group of children and youth and with
those attending regular schools (assisting in guiding creative workshops,
theatre workshops, debate, etc);
- choose the institution HO cooperates with and do some of the activities
with either children without parents, refugees, IDPs, Roma people, young
delinquents, or persons with mental disabilities;
- learn about interculturality, mediation, how to guide workshops, project
management and other skills.
