proiectul "For youth in Usti nad Labem", care va fi depus la termenul
limita 1 iunie.
Stagiul va incepe in septembrie/octombrie 2010 si va avea o durata de
10-12 luni.

We have two open vacancies in our project "For youth in Usti nad Labem"
and we would like to apply for the 1st of June 2010 deadline. Two
volunteers must have different native language. Basic data about the
project:
Place: Usti nad Labem, Czech Republic
Start of the project: September - October 2010
Length: 10 to 12 months
Project activities:
Youth club Orion is a drop-in centre for children and youth and is the
main activity for our EVS volunteers. The volunteer will spend most of the
time participating in free time activities with children and youth in the
club, help social workers with the regular running of the club (cleaning,
lending the equipment). Free time activities involve: table soccer and
tennis, desktop games, juggling equipment, basic music equipment
(keyboards, drums and microphones) and computers with Internet. He/she can
also organize and lead some basic educational activities: learning
English, small workshops, etc.
Other activities are set according to organisation needs and volunteer`s
willingness individually:
1) Climbing wall assistance - He/she will help with climbing activities
for public in commercial climbing centre, where visitors have to pay some
fee.
2) "Your country" club - The volunteer has an opportunity and our support
to organize and lead his/her own activity about his/her country, language,
culture, food, etc. This activity is usually open to the public and takes
place each week or twice in a month.
3) Other irregular activities- to help with organizing and running
short-term activities and projects, which includes concerts, exhibitions,
tournaments, lectures, free time actions, trips and promotion activities .
The volunteer should fulfil certain criteria, which are essential for
success of his/her EVS project in our organisation. Volunteer should be a
communicative, responsible person, who is able to meet agreed tasks and
schedule. Basic communication language with volunteers is English and is
recommended to be able to understand and speak at least basic level of
English. The project is very suitable for volunteers, who are interested
in work with children and youth and social work in general or free time
activities with children and youth
